What Is The Most Important Indicator Of Ceramic Fiber?

In recent years, blown ceramic fiber cotton is widely used in the high temperature furnaces. The working temperature of ceramic fiber products made of blown cotton can reach up to 1649℃. It has good insulation performance and is convenient to use. Due to those advantages, especially low heat storage, it is widely used in a variety of furnaces and shows great energy-saving results. 

It has same features with most other ceramic fiber products, such as good insulation performance. Besides, what is most important is its good elasticity. It can be safely used at 900-1350℃. Its average fiber length is no less than 30mm. its shot content is no more than 15%. 

 

The most important indicator of ceramic fiber is the diameter and thermal stability of fiber. According to the content of Al2O3, ceramic fiber can be used in different temperature range. Cr2O3 or ZrO2 is also added to improve its refractoriness and oxidization resistance. In general, those with high Al2O3 content and low Fe2O3 content are white, while those containing Cr2O3 is milk yellow. 

 

Its average diameter is 22-33 μm. Those with small diameter, low density and low thermal conductivity have higher working temperature. 

 

Its thermal stability is more important. The linear shrinkage of ceramic fiber products at 1260℃ is among 35—88%. The shrinkage has direct effect on the thermal stability.
