Applications of Ceramic Fiber Modules in Heat Treatment Furnaces

In order to simplify and speed up the furnace construction and improve the integrity of the lining, ceramic fiber module is used. This product is white and has regular size, so it can be directly fixed onto the furnace shell with anchor nails. It has good refractory performance and improves the integrity of the furnace and promotes the progress of the construction. 
Applications of Ceramic Fiber Modules in Heat Treatment Furnaces
The module is in a pre-pressing state. After construction, the expansion of the module can make the masonry seamless and compensate the contraction of fiber linings. It is easy and fast to install. The anchor components are set on the cold face of the lining. 
 
The ceramic fiber module has the following features:
(1) Light weight
Ceramic fiber blanket has a density of 96~128kg/m3, while the density of the ceramic fiber module is around 200~240kg/m3, 1/5-1/10 of light weight refractory bricks or monolithic materials, 1/15-1/20 of dense refractory materials. It can reduce the load and expand the service life of the furnace. It can make the heat treatment furnace light and effective and reduce the load of the furnace and prolong the service life of furnaces. 
(2) Low heat capacity
It absorbs less heat and can be heated up fast. The heat capacity of the lining materials is generally proportional to the weight of the lining. Low heat capacity means that the furnace absorbs less heat during the reciprocating operation and is heated up fast. The heat capacity of ceramic fiber is only 1/10 of the light weight refractory lining and light weight refractory bricks. It greatly reduces the energy consumption, especially in the intermittent heat treatment furnaces. 
(3) Low thermal conductivity
Its thermal conductivity is less than 0.06W/mk at 200℃ and less than 0.10W/mk at 400℃. Its conductivity is about 1/8 of the lightweight materials and 1/10 of lightweight refractory bricks. Compared to dense refractory materials, its thermal conductivity can be avoided. So, it has great insulation performance. 
(4) Easy construction
It is no need to reserve expansion joints. The construction has little effect on the performance of insulation linings. 
(5) Wide applications
It can be used in environments from 600℃ to 1400℃. It can meet the requirements in different industrial furnaces. 
(6) Thermal shock resistance
It has good resistance to severe temperature fluctuations. It can be heated or cooled at any rate. 
(7) Resistance to mechanical shock
Ceramic fiber has good flexibility and elasticity and is not easy to be damaged. The entire furnace has better resistance to the shock or vibration during transport. 
(8) Without preheating
The furnace does not need preheating and can be used directly. 
(9) Good sound insulation
Ceramic fiber can reduce the frequency of high frequency noise with a less than 1000 Hz frequency. For noise with a less than 300Hz frequency, its sound insulation capacity is better than conventional insulation materials and can significantly reduce noise pollution.
(10) Automatic control
Since it is heat-sensitive, it can be more adaptable to automation control. 
(11) Chemical stability
In addition to phosphoric acid, hydrofluoric acid and alkali, it has better chemical stability and is not eroded by acid, alkali, water, oil and steam.
