The Paving of Calcium Silicate Board

Ceramic Fiber Board is made of Alumino-Silicate fibrous wool by vacuum forming process. Calcium silicate insulation products are of a variety of shapes like plate board, curved sheet, pipe cover, and accessory products. 

In the kiln, there are several grades of ceramic fiber board. Its paving can be carried out simultaneously with refractory bricks. The planar portion can directly use large plate. For the arc face, the board should be cut into small strips. The transverse dimension of the bars should be appropriate to ensure that the maximum gap is no more than 3mm. The cutting and masonry convenience should be taken into consideration. When paving calcium silicate board with a big thickness, the two materials can be paved layer by layer. 

 

The calcium silicate board bars are bonded with high temperature adhesives provided by the factory. Big joints should be filled with refractory mortar. 

 

Ceramic Fiber Board is light and brittle, so it should be moved gently. Cut it with a steel saw, wood saw or circular saw. To prevent the board from absorbing water, waterproof agent should be brushed on the engaging surface of calcium silicate board and castables or bricks.
